I've been playing AC:CF for a while now, and a friend in another state recently got this game. We were so excited to be able to play together, but it turns out we can't connect to each other's towns. I open my gate and she tries to visit, or she opens her gate and I try to visit, but we keep getting kicked off of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with error code 86420.
Before you post that I need to follow the instructions for the above error code, I'd like to point out that we both have done all that we can according to these instructions to resolve this problem. We have not been able to come to a solution.
I use a Netgear router, she uses a Belkin router. I have set up my own router, and I have walked her through the necessary steps to follow instructions to set her router up to allow the AC connection, everything short of disabling her firewall, which she doesn't want to do (and I don't blame her). I have disabled my OWN firewall to see if this resolves the problem, and it doesn't.
Does anyone have an answer? Is this an issue with our routers, our Wiis, our games, or the Nintendo server itself?
